Betty Romaine Geib, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016 at her home in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.
As the beloved matriarch of the Geib family, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Pete" Wayne Geib and her son Terry Geib, her parents Harry F. and Mary Jane (Biggs) Myers; her brother Bob Myers; her sisters Louise A. Bell, and Jane Flickinger; and her youngest brother Bill Myers. Betty leaves behind her oldest daughter Pat Hackman and her husband, Robert; her son Daniel Geib and his wife...

Betty Romaine Geib, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016 at her home in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.
As the beloved matriarch of the Geib family, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Pete" Wayne Geib and her son Terry Geib, her parents Harry F. and Mary Jane (Biggs) Myers; her brother Bob Myers; her sisters Louise A. Bell, and Jane Flickinger; and her youngest brother Bill Myers. Betty leaves behind her oldest daughter Pat Hackman and her husband, Robert; her son Daniel Geib and his wife Patricia; her son Rick Geib and his wife Mary; her daughter Susan Barley and her husband John; her daughter Sharon Geib; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, her sister Dot Richenbach and countless friends, including her Hershey friends and especially Marge Kokal.
Born in 1921 to Harry and Mary Jane Myers in Oliver Township, Pennsylvania. Betty previously worked on the line at the Hershey Chocolate factory and later as a secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Betty was a devoted wife and proud mother to six wonderful children, was known by any one who met her as a kind and loving individual who cared deeply about others. She spent decades caring for her husband Charles as he battled a number of illnesses before passing in 1996. Her hobbies included cooking for her large family and shopping with her daughters, Pat, Susan and Sharon. She was a very generous individual always looking to cook you a meal or buy you a gift. Betty was a skilled card player who was always up for a couple games of Gin Rummy. and she usually won!
Betty's family finds comfort in knowing that she is resting comfortably with the lord, reunited with her husband Charles, her son Terry, her parents and sisters.
A memorial service for Betty Geib is being held at the on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11am at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Saturday morning. Burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
